Krispy Kreme unveils out-of-the-world donut honoring NASA's Artemis I mission

Krispy Kreme is launching a special edition donut that space junkies and snack fans alike can enjoy

Cheesecake-filled donut dipped in Cookies 'n Creme Icing will include chunks of chocolate to look like a moon

Artemis I is set to circle the moon and test key components in the mission

Krispy Kreme wanted to honor the space agency's achievements in a suitable and edible way for everyone to enjoy

It's the second time in as many years that the donut company has honored a space achievement

global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release, Dave Skena said in a statement

“The Artemis I mission is a proud moment, and we are in awe of the amazing Americans behind the world’s most powerful rocket"

So, we created these delicious doughnuts to enjoy while you watch the launch,” he added

Limited-edition Artemis donuts will only be available on Monday at participating locations

As for the launch of Artemis, NASA is looking for a time between 8:33 a.m. and 5 p.m. m. and 10:33 a.m.
