(“Orbis”), has received a multi-year renovation. – one-year capital maintenance contract (the “Contract”) by AltaLink, following an extensive competitive bidding process.

AltaLink owns and operates more than 300 substations and 13,000 kilometers of transmission lines, representing more than half of Alberta’s transmission network. The 3-year contract strengthens a business partnership that dates back to 2011.

With thousands of miles of lines and hundreds of substations, the AltaLink network requires highly skilled workers to maintain the equipment and optimize its performance. The Agreement covers capital replacement and upgrade (“CRU”) projects and non-capital replacement and upgrade (“non-CRU”) projects. Scope of work includes replacing substation equipment or installing new equipment and other major site upgrades involving new control buildings or switches.
