COEUR D’ALENE, ID / ACCESS CABLE / July 26, 2022 / Sidney Resources Corporation, (OTC PINK:SDRC), as Sidney Resource’s fundamental leadership ethic is a focus on developing companies that are disruptive and transformational in their industry. That approach includes building partnerships with institutions that have a proven track record of taking a similar approach and we are pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with the prestigious Colorado School of Mines to trial our new laser mining technology.
Founded in 1874 with majors in mining and metallurgy, Colorado School of Mines is a science and engineering-focused public university dedicated to educating and inspiring students, advancing knowledge and innovating to address the great challenges facing society today. , particularly those related to land. , energy and environment. Over the years, Mines’ scope and mission have expanded to meet the needs of industry and society, producing distinctive graduates and groundbreaking innovations and becoming a world leader in advancing the sustainable use of mineral resources. the earth.
Testing of the new laser mining technology has been coordinated with the assistance of IPG Photonics and will use the IPG Photonics 4KW laser hosted at Mines. With the help of the Mines team, our engineering team will test our newly designed unit which is configured so that a variety of special directional laser pointer devices and their inherent custom software control are interchangeable for use in various mining operations. The tests will evaluate the ability to cut, fracture and chip various samples of geological materials. The patent pending technology is designed for use in mining operations such as blasting facility preparation, rock bolting operations, drift drilling, expansion raises, excavations and stope extraction.
Testing at the Colorado School of Mines is a major step forward for Sidney Resources in its pursuit of technology that will provide tremendous value not only to Sidney Resources itself, but to the mining industry as a whole with the ability to be deployed in multiple vertical. We are exploring additional transformative and disruptive technologies to expand our impact on the mining industry while reducing our impact on the environment. We are committed to protecting the environment and reducing our impact on the Anthropocene, our human-centric planet, as a passion shared by our team, and look forward to building additional partnerships with institutions like Mines that share these same values.
We anticipate testing to take place later this year. Our team continues to work to complete testing protocols with the Mines team and IPG Photonics. For additional updates on all operations, please visit our website at www.sidneyresourcescorporation.com.
