Mocking new witnesses after Cassidy Hutchinson's Jan. 6 committee testimony, Rep. Adam Kinzinger says of Trump and his allies: 'Everybody's scared.  They should be.'

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Rep. Adam Kinzinger said Donald Trump and his allies, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, are “scared” after last week. testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson before the select committee on January 6.

“This BIPARTISAN committee has been able to uncover things that have until recently been denied by the Truthers of January 6th, so they are left trying to discredit a young woman with more courage than they could muster in their entire lives. Except that. .. that’s ‘doesn’t work’, Kinzinger tweeted.

“Cassidy doesn’t seek the limelight, but she is honor bound. She didn’t even have to take an oath to the constitution like Kevin, Elise, Kristi Noem and others did. But she volunteered to say what she knows.” He is a better person than all of them.”

Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois and critical Trump, is one of two Republican members who are part of the January 6 select committee. The Trump-backed McCarthy had the opportunity to nominate five representatives to the commission but withdrew from participating after the nominations of Representatives Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana were rejected.

Kinzinger said earlier this week new witnesses have come forward in the investigation following Hutchinson’s testimony.

Trump loyalists were described as “genuinely surprisedfollowing Hutchinson’s testimony, which included reports that the former president lunged at a member of the Secret Service and tried to reach the Capitol during the January 6 attack.

“They’re all scared” Kinzinger additional. “They should be.”
