President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 again.
“The President tested positive Saturday morning for an antigen test,” the White House said in a letter written by Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor. “This, in fact, represents a ‘rebound’ positivity.”
Biden is said to be experiencing no new symptoms yet and will be isolated in the White House.
O’Connor had previously warned that Biden could “bounce back” and test positive again, something that happens to patients who, like Biden, have been taking the antiviral drug Paxlovid.
The doctor added in the letter that Biden “continues to feel quite well.”
“This being the case, there is no reason to restart treatment at this time, but we will obviously continue to watch closely,” he wrote of the president’s well-being.

“As I stated earlier, the President continues to be very specifically mindful of protecting any of the executive residents, the White House, the Secret Service,” O’Connor continued, “and other personnel whose duties require any (albeit socially distanced) proximity to the.”
Biden tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time at a bad time for the 79-year-old president.
In recent weeks Biden has been criticized by his own base for calling for the right to abortion activists “out of step”, and also facing approval ratings at record lows.
a new Gallup poll published on Friday had Biden with a paltry 38 percent approval rating among voters, down three points from the previous month.
