VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS CABLE / July 13, 2022 / BTU METALS CORP. (“BTU” or the “Company”) (TSX:V:BTU)(OTCQB:BTUMF) is pleased to provide an update today as the Company continues to explore for gold and copper, gold and silver throughout its ~ Dixie Halo property of 230 km2 sharing a common boundary of >35 km with the recently acquired Kinross Gold Corporation (K-TSX) land from Great Bear Resources Ltd.
BTU field crew on site running summer geology program
The BTU geological team is currently on site at Red Lake, Ontario. The team focuses on mapping geological structures and alteration mineral assemblages where magnetic studies suggest the gold-bearing LP fault continues to the southeast. In addition, further geological mapping and prospecting will be conducted around the Pakwash Lake area to the TNT target area (where significant results include a 6.5% copper equivalent assay in drill hole BTU-19-13). ) (see PR of December 16, 2022).
Artificial intelligence (AI) will be updated and reinterpreted with the benefit of new Dixie geological data
The company is currently working with AI partner Windfall Geotech (TSX-V: WIN, OTCQB: WINKF, FSE: L7C2) to update the AI analysis. Since the last AI revisionmuch more geological information is available. This includes the combination of results on the Kinross Dixie project LP fault (of which there was very little at the time of the last AI study) for the disseminated gold type and additional results from the high grade Kinross Dixie Red style gold type. Lake. As a result, new geological “signatures” have been identified and will be explored at BTU’s Dixie Halo project, benefiting from all results to date from the Company’s prospecting, geological mapping, geophysical and drilling programs.

Figure 1: BTU ground position is outlined in orange and BTU target areas are circled with dashed lines. The focus of the summer camp program is indicated by red stars: the land surrounding the east and north of the Kinross Dixie property and the land on the east side of Pakwash Lake. Kinross properties are outlined in blue and its known gold mineralization is shaded in black. Barrick properties purchased from Dixie Gold and Red Lake Gold are outlined in red.
Paul Wood, CEO of BTU, states: “There is an increasing amount of geological activity in our Red Lake area, including from Kinross, who has announced that it expects to release an initial mineral resource at the Dixie project at the same time as its annual presentation early next year. . We are looking forward to our next drill program which will be based on our entire database including upcoming drill core assays, the summer geologic field program and new AI targets. In addition, we still have target areas where assays have identified areas with gold mineralization that we have yet to follow up on.”
